The reason one goes to the Tucson Gem Show is to see things that one never sees. In the collection of Greg Genovese I found this fabulous pair of chalcedonies. They happen to be a rare and prized chalcedony known as Coyomito agate. It all boils down to the most lace-like lavender gem you will ever see. These asymmetrical drops create an over-two- inch-long ear clip. Did I say that I used amethysts and bright pink sapphires to complement the chalcedonies? Pastels are the height of fashion, and nature has met us more than halfway. I just did the matchmaking!
