Fossil Coral and Cat’s Eye Opal earrings is a mouthful for a title.  You would have to be a student of gemology or one of my regular clients to even guess what they would look like so let’s get beyond the names of the gems and just focus on the beauty of these earrings.  I chose these elements because they both have a unique shade of green.  The Brazilian opals have a phenomenon that is more associated with Tourmaline or Moonstone.  The stones have tiny fibers that catch the light and focus it in a cat’s eye effect across the center of the cabochon’s shape.  When the green Opals are paired with the painted-looking floral pattern of these Fossil Corals, you get an earring that is a lot more interesting and beautiful than most.  At this point I have to say that they are even more captivating in person.  That’s just one more reason to add to the many reasons for you to have them.
